Professional Resources Partners Pty Ltd is seeking a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Foreman in Randburg. You will oversee the maintenance department, ensuring machinery is maintained to required standards and supporting safe, efficient production.
Key requirements include Red Seal (Fitter/Turner preferred), Matric, N5 technical qualification, and at least 5–10 years in similar roles within steel manufacturing. Salary is negotiable, with strong leadership expectations.

We are looking for a reliable, experienced and hands-on Maintenance Foreman
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance department, ensuring that production machinery is maintained to the required standard, and supporting the plant in achieving safe, efficient and consistent production.
Matric / Grade 12
N5 Technical qualification
Recognised Red Seal Trade Test – Fitter & Turner preferred
Minimum 10 years’ experience in the steel manufacturing industry
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a maintenance foreman/supervisory role
Valid driver’s licence
Proven leadership and people-management skills
Good understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
Understanding of Industrial Relations
Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards
Ability to work overtime when required
Reliable work history and traceable references
The ideal candidate should have strong practical experience with:
Industrial gearboxes
Industrial fluid pumps
Sheet-steel processing machinery
Hydraulics and pneumatics
Lathe operation
Milling machine operation
Basic servicing and maintenance of tools and dies
Repairs and maintenance of hoists and cranes
ARC and MIG welding
General mechanical maintenance and fault-finding
Plan and coordinate daily maintenance activities.
Develop and manage preventative maintenance schedules.
Allocate and supervise maintenance personnel and their daily tasks.
Coordinate repairs, breakdowns and machinery modifications with the Production Manager.
Provide hands-on technical support when required.
Ensure critical machinery spares are identified and maintained in stock.
Liaise with suppliers and evaluate pricing and service levels.
Develop and implement programmes to improve machinery reliability, production output, product quality and safety.
Maintain accurate ISO and company maintenance records and documentation.
Ensure required health, safety and housekeeping standards are maintained.
Plan and monitor statutory health and safety maintenance requirements.
Attend production-related meetings.
Coordinate contractors during emergency repairs and maintenance projects.
Maintain a tool register and ensure tools are kept in good working condition.
Assist with maintenance budgets and forecasts when required.
Communicate maintenance requirements and issues to senior management.
Manage and discipline maintenance personnel when necessary.
Perform other maintenance-related duties as directed by management.
