Job summary

Placements24 client, a design-led architectural studio, is seeking a Lead Interior Architect to join their hybrid team in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga. You will lead interior design projects from concept to execution, collaborating with clients, architects and contractors to deliver exceptional spaces.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of interior architecture experience, a strong design portfolio, and proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3ds Max, and Adobe Creative Suite.

Qualifications

• Professional degree or diploma in Interior Architecture or Interior Design.
• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in interior architecture and design.
• Demonstrated experience leading interior design projects from concept to completion.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3ds Max, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong understanding of space planning, lighting design and materials.

Responsibilities

• Lead interior design process for commercial, hospitality and high-end residential spaces.
• Develop conceptual designs, mood boards, space plans, and interior specs.
• Collaborate with clients to understand vision, requirements and brand identity.
• Select FF&E to achieve design objectives.
• Prepare drawings, renderings and presentations to communicate proposals.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers and contractors for seamless integration.
• Manage project timelines and budgets.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and adherence to design intent.
• Stay updated on trends, materials and technologies.
• Mentor junior interior designers and contribute to creative direction.
