Placements24 seeks an experienced Lead Retail Design Architect in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga to lead design from concept to construction documentation. You will interpret client briefs, develop unique retail concepts, and ensure spaces enhance brand identity and customer experience.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in architectural practice focused on retail, strong leadership, and proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture is required.
• Minimum of 7 years in architectural practice with a retail focus.
• Proven experience leading flagship stores, shopping centers, or commercial developments.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong retail branding, customer experience, and merchandising understanding.
• Excellent conceptual, presentation, and communication skills.
• Experience with contract documentation and construction administration.
• Knowledge of South African regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design and concept development for retail projects.
• Collaborate with clients to understand brand strategies and operational needs.
• Develop design proposals with drawings, renderings, and material palettes.
