Placements24 in Cape Town, Western Cape, is seeking a Lead Financial Analyst to drive FP&A, forecasting, and strategic financial planning from Cape Town. You will translate complex data into actionable insights and partner with senior leadership to shape financial strategy, budgeting, and performance improvement.

The role requires a Master’s degree, CFA a plus, 7+ years of experience, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related quantitative field.
CFA designation is a plus.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or a related field.
Proven expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and forecasting techniques.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial analysis software (e.g., Hyperion, Anaplan).
Strong understanding of capital markets and investment principles.
Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience managing teams.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain detailed financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning.
Analyze financial performance, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities.
Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations for senior management and the board of directors.
Conduct in-depth profitability analysis, cost management, and return on investment (ROI) assessments.
Collaborate with various departments to understand their financial needs and provide analytical support.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
Oversee the development of business cases for new initiatives and investments.
Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and reporting standards.
Mentor and guide junior financial analysts, fostering a culture of excellence.
