Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Electrical Installation Manager for projects in and around Nelspruit, Mpumalanga. The role oversees safe, efficient electrical installations for solar farms and energy infrastructure, with responsibility for site teams, schedules, and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in electrical installations, strong leadership, and a solid understanding of project execution in the Mpumalanga region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in managing electrical installations, preferably in renewable energy or large construction.
• Strong knowledge of electrical installation practices, safety standards (OHSA Act), and codes.
• Experience managing teams and subcontractors on large sites.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all electrical installation activities on project sites.
• Develop installation plans, method statements, and risk assessments.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations, policies, and client requirements on site.
• Lead site electrical teams, providing direction and technical support.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure workflow.
