Placements24 invites applications for a Senior Electrical Project Manager to oversee electrical scopes in Nelspruit and surrounding regions. You will lead project teams, manage budgets, and coordinate with clients and regulators to deliver high-value electrical installations.

The role requires 10+ years in electrical engineering with PM experience and a strong grasp of power distribution, MV/LV systems, and construction methods. A hybrid work model is offered in Mpumalanga.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Master's or PMP advantageous.
• 10+ years in electrical engineering with 5+ years in project management.
• Experience managing large-scale industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, MV/LV equipment.
• Proficiency with MS Project or Primavera P6 and contract management.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of electrical projects from planning to commissioning.
• Develop detailed project plans with scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resources.
• Manage budgets and track expenditures to meet targets.
• Oversee subcontractors and suppliers ensuring quality and timeliness.
• Coordinate with clients, engineering teams, site personnel and regulators.
• Ensure safety, QA and environmental standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify and mitigate risks; prepare status reports for senior management.
• Lead and motivate project teams; resolve technical and contractual issues.
