Job summary

WSP is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to join our property and build services team in Cape Town. You will lead the design and delivery of HV/MV and LV electrical systems for data centre and industrial projects, focusing on resilience and operational continuity.

You will manage multidisciplinary teams, engage with clients, and drive project delivery from inception to close-out, including fee management and contract set-up.

Qualifications

• Minimum BSc Eng. or B. Tech in Electrical Engineering.
• Professional Registration with ECSA (Pr.Eng or Pr.Tech Eng) required.
• At least 10 years consulting engineering experience with building services and industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of HV/MV and LV electrical systems with focus on resilience and continuity.
• Prepare accurate designs, calculations, budgets, tender specs and manage project finances.
• Collaborate with a global multi-disciplinary team and coordinate execution.
• Manage projects from inception to close-out with emphasis on data centre projects.
• Develop client relationships and act as trusted technical advisor to secure repeat work.
