Qualifications

• 8+ years in electrical design for infrastructure.
• Pr.Eng. with ECSA registration essential.
• Experience leading design teams and managing deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for infrastructure projects with emphasis on compliance.
• Develop detailed electrical system designs; prepare SLDs, schematics, equipment specs.
• Perform load calculations, power flow studies and short-circuit analysis.
• Specify transformers, switchgear, cables and protection relays.
• Oversee design drawings, documentation and tender packages.
• Manage timelines, budgets and resources for electrical design work.
• Review junior engineers' designs and mentor team members.
• Liaise with clients, authorities, contractors and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with SANS, IEC and other standards.
• Conduct site visits for verification and commissioning support.
