Placements24 is seeking an imaginative and experienced Lead Concept Artist to guide the creative vision in Vereeniging. You will lead a team of concept artists, setting visual style and direction for characters, environments, and props across projects.

This role requires leadership, a strong portfolio, and proficiency in Photoshop/Procreate, with a passion for world-building and storytelling.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a Concept Artist in games, film, or animation, with leadership experience.
• Proven leadership and the ability to guide a team of artists.
• Strong portfolio across diverse styles and high-quality concept art.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of concept artists, providing creative direction and constructive feedback.
• Develop and champion the overall visual style and aesthetic for projects, ensuring consistency and appeal.
• Create high-quality concept art for characters, environments, props, and key visual moments.
• Collaborate with directors and art directors to define visual targets.
• Manage concept art production schedules and ensure timely delivery of assets.
