Placements24 is seeking a Lead Cloud Solutions Architect to join a fully remote tech team within South Africa. You will design robust, scalable cloud solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP, leading migrations and mentoring engineers in a remote-first environment.

The role requires 8+ years in IT and 4+ years in cloud architecture, with strong IaC, security, and cost governance expertise. Expect collaboration with product, engineering, and business stakeholders on strategic cloud initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of IT infrastructure and cloud computing experience, with at least 4 years in a cloud architecture role.
• Proven expertise with major cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
• In-depth knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and database principles in a cloud context.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative team environment.
