Placements24 is seeking an experienced Lead Childminder for a childcare facility in Tembisa. This leadership role oversees daily operations, mentors junior staff, and ensures high standards of care and education for young children.

Qualifications

• Advanced diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in childcare, with at least 2 years in supervisory or leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of child development, pedagogy, and health and safety standards.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create and manage a stimulating learning environment.
• Valid First Aid and CPR certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of childminders, providing guidance, training, and performance support.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum focused on play-based learning and developmental milestones.
• Ensure the safety, health, and well-being of all children, adhering to strict safety regulations and protocols.
• Build strong, collaborative relationships with parents, providing regular updates on their child's progress and addressing concerns proactively.
• Manage administrative tasks including enrollment, scheduling, and maintaining children's records.
• Organize and facilitate engaging age-appropriate activities, events, and excursions to enhance the learning experience.
