Job summary

The President Hotel in Bantry Bay, Cape Town, seeks an experienced Head Bartender with at least 3 years in a senior bar role within luxury or high-volume settings. You will lead daily bar operations, train staff, and deliver exceptional guest experiences while driving beverage sales.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 3 years of experience as Head Bartender, Senior Bartender or Bar Supervisor in a luxury/hospitality setting.
• Strong mixology skills and knowledge of cocktails, premium spirits, wines and beers.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and develop a bar team.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily bar operations with a hands-on presence during service.
• Prepare and serve beverages to standard recipes and presentation.
• Coach the team to maintain service quality, cleanliness and bar presentation.
• Engage guests, upsell beverages and drive sales.
• Contribute to cocktail development, menus and seasonal promotions.
• Manage ordering, stock counts, rotation, portion control and costing.
