Placements24 is seeking an experienced Lead Architectural Technologist to join our client’s team in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal. The role focuses on driving technical design and documentation for large-scale mixed-use developments, ensuring constructability and adherence to high standards.

You will translate conceptual designs into detailed construction drawings and specifications, lead a technical documentation team, and collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to deliver

Qualifications

• National Diploma or B.Tech in Architectural Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience as an Architectural Technologist, with a focus on large-scale developments.
• Proven ability to produce high-quality technical documentation for complex projects.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) and BIM software (e.g., Revit).
• Strong understanding of building codes, construction methods, materials, and detailing.
• Excellent technical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience in leading a technical documentation team is desirable.
• Familiarity with KwaZulu-Natal architectural context is advantageous.
