Placements24 advertises a Senior Aircraft Maintenance Engineer role based in Pretoria, Gauteng. The successful candidate will oversee and perform MRO activities, lead a team of engineers and technicians, and ensure all work complies with SACAA regulations and high safety standards.

You will interpret technical data, diagnose complex issues, and guide the team to maintain airworthiness across multiple aircraft types.

Qualifications

• Valid Heavy Maintenance Licence recognized by SACAA.
• Minimum of 8 years hands-on aircraft maintenance experience on complex aircraft types.
• Proven supervisory or lead engineer experience.

Responsabilités

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of aircraft systems and components according to approved data.
• Lead and mentor maintenance technicians and engineers, providing technical guidance and supervision.
• Interpret manuals, drawings, and procedures to ensure correct task execution.
• Diagnose and rectify complex aircraft malfunctions and system failures.
• Ensure compliance with aviation regulations (e.g., SACAA) and company policies.
• Maintain thorough records of maintenance activities and ensure tool safety and hangar discipline.
