Placements24 seeks an exceptional Lead Agile Project Manager to drive a major cloud migration project in a fully remote role across South Africa. You will lead a distributed team of PMs, engineers, and analysts, champion Agile/Scrum practices, and manage schedules, budgets, and risks to deliver critical cloud capabilities.

The role requires 8+ years in project management, with 4+ years in cloud projects (AWS/Azure/GCP), and strong stakeholder management skills.

• Ensure the successful delivery of cloud migration milestones, meeting performance and security standards.
• Foster strong working relationships with vendors and technology partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in project management, with at least 4 years specifically managing cloud-based projects (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proven expertise in Agile and Scrum frameworks, with certifications such as CSM or SAFe highly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience leading fully remote teams and projects.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, migration strategies, and associated risks.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in project management tools like Jira, Confluence, and MS Project.
• Experience managing project budgets exceeding R50 million.
• Must be legally authorized to work in South Africa and comfortable working autonomously from a remote location.
