Job summary

Ejobdesign in Cape Town is hiring two Laundry Attendants on a seasonal fixed-term contract with hourly pay. You will ensure linens are washed, dried, ironed, and delivered to departments, while operating laundry equipment and maintaining hygiene standards.

This role requires Matric, basic laundry knowledge, and prior 4/5* hotel experience; shifts include weekends/public holidays. Contract ends on 30 April 2027.

Qualifications

We are recruiting seasonal laundry attendants to provide a reliable daily laundry service that delivers clean, neatly ironed, and undamaged linen, towels, to all relevant departments within the hotel.

Key Accountabilities

• Ensure all linen and towels are washed, dried, and ironed to hotel standards.
• Operate laundry machines and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Keep the laundry area clean, organized, and compliant with hygiene standards.
• Track laundry supplies and report when stock needs replenishing

Minimum Requirements

• Matric (National Senior Certificate)
• Basic cleaning/laundry operation knowledge.
• Previous laundry experience at 4/5* level in the same or similar position
• Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Satisfactory criminal record, subject to assessment of nature, severity, relevance, and recency of any offence
