Job summary

Vineyard Home/Oude Werf Home in Cape Town is seeking two Laundry Attendants for a fixed-term contract to maintain daily laundry services for the hotel. You will deliver clean, neatly ironed linen to all departments, following hotel standards.

The role requires matric, basic laundry knowledge, and the ability to work shifts including weekends and public holidays. Prior 4/5* hotel experience is preferred; a clean criminal record is required.

Qualifications

• Matric (National Senior Certificate) required.
• Basic cleaning/laundry operation knowledge.
• Previous laundry experience at 4/5* level in the same or similar position.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Satisfactory criminal record, subject to assessment of any offence.

Responsibilities

• Ensure linen and towels are washed, dried, and ironed to hotel standards.
• Operate laundry machines safely and efficiently.
• Keep laundry area clean, organized and hygienic.
• Track supplies and report when stock needs replenishing.

We are recruiting seasonal laundry attendants to provide a reliable daily laundry service that delivers clean, neatly ironed, and undamaged linen, towels, to all relevant departments within the hotel.

Key Accountabilities

• Ensure all linen and towels are washed, dried, and ironed to hotel standards.
• Operate laundry machines and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Keep the laundry area clean, organized, and compliant with hygiene standards.
• Track laundry supplies and report when stock needs replenishing

Minimum Requirements
