City Lodge Hotels Limited is seeking a Laundry Supervisor who will oversee laundry operations, supervise staff, ensure hygiene and quality, and support housekeeping leadership across the property.
The role requires previous housekeeping or laundry experience, plus strong leadership and compliance with safety and audit standards. Long shifts and extensive standing are expected in a hospitality setting.
This role, like all others in the group, must prioritise “making every guest a returning and referring guest”. Oversees the laundry operations by managing laundry staff, ensuring the timely cleaning of linens in the correct and specified manner, maintaining equipment, and upholding hygiene and quality standards in line with hotel policies. Additionally, supports the Housekeeper in leading the housekeeping department by supervising daily operations, maintaining high standards of cleanliness across all hotel areas, and assisting in the training and coordination of housekeeping staff to ensure efficient and cost-effective service delivery.
Minimum
Grade 10 – 12 (internal candidate).
Grade 12 (external candidate).
Must have completed chemical, equipment, linen and terry handling, 1st time manager/supervisor courses.
Computer literacy is essential particularly with a proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Is required to issue verbal/written warnings when necessary and in the event of company policy having been violated.
The job requires the handling of money and the authorisation to dispense and deposit company funds and is therefore subject to a fraud and credit check.
Carry out any duties as may be requested by a more senior member of management and in line with expertise and role.
The job involves the working of long hours and shifts as per the requirements of the hospitality industry and in accordance with the applicable legislation.
Required to provide support in cleaning rooms as operational needs arise.
This job requires repetitive movements, manual handling, awkward postures, prolonged standing and walking, pushing and pulling of loads, working in confined and variable spaces, sustaining work‑pace–related fatigue, and managing exposure to psychosocial and cognitive stressors.
