Job summary

Department of Health in DUNSWART PROVINCIAL LAUNDRY is seeking a Laundry Supervisor to oversee routine linen tasks, equipment maintenance, and staff supervision across shifts. The role requires strong communication and the ability to liaise with stakeholders.

Applicants should have Grade 10 with 5 years laundry experience or Grade 12 with 3 years laundry experience, plus skills in reading, writing and personnel supervision. Shifts including public holidays are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine linen tasks and maintain equipment.
• Monitor departure and arrival of trucks.

• Count and observe proper counting of clean/soiled linen.
• Maintain attendance registers and arrange staff leave.
• Safekeeping of production documents; ensure OHS compliance.
• Attend client meetings and perform administrative duties.
• Implement Performance Management and provide in-service training.

• Grade 10 plus 5 years laundry experience. Grade 12 plus 3 years laundry experience. Good communication and sound Human relations skills. Must be able to read and write. Supervision and control of subordinates. Have ability to liaise with Stakeholders. Able to work shifts including public holidays.

Duties :

• Perform routine tasks related to linen and maintenance of equipment. Monitor departure and arrival of trucks. Plan and organize work and ensure adequate provision of linen. Controlling and observing proper counting of clean/solid linen. Marking/controlling attendance register. Arrange leave for staff. Safe keeping of documents (Production). Ensure Occupational Health and Safety is observed. Administrative duties, attending of client meetings. Implement Performance Management and Development provide in-service training.
