Recruitment Matters Africa (Pvt) Ltd is seeking a seasoned Key Account Manager to lead mining and bulk commodity accounts, driving revenue growth and end-to-end logistics solutions. You will engage with operations, procurement, and senior stakeholders to secure new business and optimize service delivery.

Focus areas include tender management, contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and CRM-driven forecasting.

Qualifications

Degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Commerce, Business, or a related field.
5+ years’ experience in key account management, business development, logistics, transport, or freight.
Proven experience working with mining or bulk commodity customers.

Responsibilities

Manage mining and bulk commodity accounts as the main commercial point of contact.
Build relationships with operational, procurement, and executive stakeholders.
Identify opportunities to grow revenue, volumes, and customer share.
Secure new business through tenders, RFQs, proposals, and business development.
Lead contract negotiations, renewals, rate reviews, and commercial agreements.
Coordinate with operations teams to deliver effective logistics solutions.
Monitor service levels, volumes, KPIs, claims, and customer issues.
Maintain CRM records, pipelines, forecasts, and account reports.
Manage escalations and support the resolution of service issues.
Monitor debtors, commodity markets, transport capacity, and competitor activity.
