Job summary

The Legends Agency in Johannesburg is seeking a Junior Team Leader to assist with solar PV installation projects on site, leading the installation team and ensuring work is performed safely, correctly and to the approved drawings and specifications.

You will act as the bridge between the team and the Project Manager, monitor progress, communicate issues promptly and help develop the employee toward higher leadership roles.

• Identify installation problems before they become major issues.
• Report delays, technical problems or additional work requirements to the Project Manager.
• Maintain good communication between the installation team and management.
• Assist with coordinating subcontractors and other site personnel where required.

Job description

Role: Junior Team Leader Industry: Commercial & Industrial Solar PV Reports To: Project Manager / Senior Team Leader / Operations Manager

Salary: R20 000 - R25 000 basic per month

The Junior Team Leader is responsible for assisting with the successful execution of solar PV installation projects on site. The role involves leading an installation team, ensuring that work is completed safely, correctly, efficiently and according to the approved design, scope of work and company standards. The Junior Team Leader acts as the link between the installation team and the Project Manager, ensuring that instructions are understood, progress is monitored and any site issues are communicated promptly. The position is intended to develop the employee into a competent Solar Team Leader / Site Supervisor.
