Job summary

10X Investments (Pty) Ltd. in Cape Town is hiring a Junior Securities Lending Specialist to support the securities finance lifecycle, including inventory management, trade execution, collateral management, settlements and reporting.

You will work with the Head of Securities Finance and partner with Investment, Operations, Risk, Compliance and Technology teams, as well as external counterparties such as banks and custodians, to optimise opportunities while upholding strict risk controls.

Qualifications

Proven interest in capital markets and securities finance.
Experience with financial data and spreadsheets strongly preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Willingness to learn and take ownership in a growing business.

Responsibilities

Monitor lending-eligible securities to align with portfolio objectives and risk limits.
Assist with execution, administration and settlement of lending transactions.
Track recalls, returns, settlements and exceptions and escalate issues.
Support collateral monitoring, sufficiency checks and reporting.
Prepare reporting on lending activity, utilization and revenue.
Collaborate with custodians, brokers and internal teams to resolve issues.
