Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in credit analysis, loan underwriting, or related banking role.
• Strong financial statement analysis, cash flow modeling, and risk assessment.
• Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in using financial analysis software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information clearly.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in the South African financial market is essential.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements, cash flow projections, and other data to assess credit risk of loan applicants.
• Prepare credit reports and recommendations for loan approval or rejection.
• Conduct thorough due diligence on prospective borrowers, including background checks and industry analysis.
• Monitor the performance of existing loans, identifying risks and recommending actions.
