Job summary

Black Tie Recruit are seeking a Junior Sales Merchandiser in Jacobs, Durban for a textile manufacturing group. The role supports the Sales team with merchandising, order processing, and customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has Matric and 2–3 years in sales support or related roles, with strong MS Office skills, attention to detail, and good communication. Training provided and room to grow in a commercial team.

Qualifications

• Matric required; a relevant Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business or a related field is advantageous but not essential.
• Approximately 2-3 years’ experience in sales support, merchandising, order processing, customer service, buying/procurement support or a similar commercial environment.
• Experience in textiles, manufacturing, retail supply, FMCG or another product-based environment would be advantageous.
• Exposure to dealing with customers, suppliers/service providers and internal operational teams.
• Basic understanding of orders, quotations, pricing, costing or margins would be beneficial.
• Good Excel and Microsoft Office skills, with the ability to work accurately with figures and information.
• Strong administration, follow-up, planning and attention to detail.
• Good verbal and written communication skills and a professional customer-service approach.
• Energetic, proactive, willing to learn and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
