Job summary

Innovazi Consulting (Pty) Ltd in Mobeni, Durban, is seeking a Junior Demand Planner to forecast demand and support production planning and inventory management. You will link Sales, QA, Production, and Supply Chain to ensure customer demand is met efficiently and on time.

The role requires 1–2 years in demand planning, strong Excel, and excellent communication. Familiarity with textile manufacturing helps, and Sync experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Matric with Mathematics is required.
• Supply Chain / Logistics qualification is advantageous.
• 1–2 years' experience in a demand planning role.

• Strong Excel and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for managing finished goods stock levels in line with company policies and customer requirements.
• Support the achievement of on-time and in-full (OTIF) delivery.
• Monitor and balance customer demand with minimising excess stock.
• Coordinate with Production to meet lead times and customer requirements.
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries and resolve supply chain issues.
• Generate and analyse reports on inventory levels, stock turnover and demand.
• Maintain system information and administrative processes accurately and timely.
• Communicate potential supply or stock issues to stakeholders.
• Provide support to Senior MRP / Supply Chain Planner as required.
• Monitor demand trends to support production and inventory planning.

JUNIOR DEMAND PLANNER

Location: Mobeni, DurbanIndustry: Textile / Clothing Manufacturing

My client in the textile and clothing manufacturing industry, based in Mobeni, is seeking a Junior Demand Planner to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing accurate demand forecasts and supporting production planning, inventory management and supply chain operations. The role will act as a link between the Sales, Quality Assurance, Production and Supply Chain teams to ensure customer demand is met efficiently and on time.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Matric with Mathematics.
• Supply Chain / Logistics qualification advantageous.
• 1 - 2 Years' experience in a Demand Planning Role.
• Must have experience within the Textile or Clothing manufacturing industry.
• Experience with Sync advantageous.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Good understanding of manufacturing operations and supply chain processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Take full responsibility for managing finished goods stock levels in line with company policies and customer requirements.
• Support the achievement of 100% on-time and in-full (OTIF) delivery.
• Manage inventory effectively by balancing customer demand with the need to minimise excess stock.
• Monitor and ensure that excess and obsolete stock is depleted timeously.
• Coordinate with Production and Manufacturing teams to ensure finished goods are produced according to customer requirements and within required lead times.
• Liaise with suppliers and vendors to support on-time deliveries and resolve supply chain issues that may affect finished goods availability.
• Generate and analyse reports relating to inventory levels, stock turnover and customer demand.
• Ensure system information and administrative processes are maintained accurately and timeously.
• Ensure the correct flow of information through relevant systems and schedules.
• Complete tasks and provide support to the Senior MRP / Supply Chain Planner as required.
• Monitor demand trends and stock requirements to support effective production and inventory planning.
• Maintain accurate planning information and communicate potential supply or stock issues to relevant stakeholders.
