Job summary

Venair, a leading engineering and manufacturing company of silicone hoses and flexible silicone pieces, seeks a Technical Sales Executive in Johannesburg, South Africa. You will drive sales in FMCG, Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology sectors, covering Johannesburg North, Pretoria, Limpopo, North West, Eastern Cape and Free State.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field
• 1–2 years B2B sales experience in pharma or FMCG sectors
• Reside in Gauteng (preferable) and valid driving license
• Proficient in English; Afrikaans a plus
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and work independently or with a team

Responsibilities

• Make cold calls and drive sales growth in assigned areas across Johannesburg North, Pretoria, Limpopo, North West, Eastern Cape and Free State
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to generate future opportunities
• Prospect for new business and manage the sales cycle from quotation to closure
• Conduct frequent customer visits and maintain regular communication in the region
• Meet sales targets by following established processes and developing new ones
• Promote Venair products with product knowledge and attend exhibitions as needed
• Update Salesforce CRM with all commercial activities and efforts
• Represent Venair at trade fairs and exhibitions as attendee or exhibitor
• Execute other sales tasks as required by the company

What are we looking for?

Due to our fast international expansion, we are seeking a Technical Sales Executive for the Sales branch in Johannesburg, South Africa where we support mainly FMCG, Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology manufacturers within the country.

Responsibilities

• Make cold calls, engage with specified customer segments and drive sales growth in assigned areas, including the North of Johannesburg, Pretoria, Limpopo, North West, Eastern Cape and Free State.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to provide exceptional customer service to generate future sales opportunities.
• Customer prospecting to identify and pursue new business opportunities, through the entire sales cycle to close new business, such as, prospection, cold calling, business trips, quotations, follow-ups, sales closure, and payment collection.
• Frequent visits and communication to the assigned areas.
• Achieve sales goals by following proven processes and developing new ones.
• Champion company products by demonstrating product-specific knowledge.
• Regularly update the CRM system (Salesforce) with all commercial activities and efforts.
• Represent the company in exhibitions and trade fairs (as a visitor or exhibitor).
• Other sales tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (Business Administration, Science, Economics, Engineering or similar).
• B2B Sales Experience - 1 to 2 years with a proven track record, specifically in green fields and sectors such as the pharmaceutical or food and beverage industries.
• Reside within the Gauteng area (preferable).
• Driving license class B mandatory.
• Proficiency in English (Additional languages i.e. Afrikaans will be a plus).
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• CRM experience (Salesforce and Odoo will be a plus).
• Flexibility to travel frequently (minimum 50% of the time).
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
