Job summary

Pollock and Associates, a well-established firm in the built environment, seeks a Junior Quantity Surveyor to support project delivery across site and office operations.

You will assist the Site Manager and Project QS with cost control, valuations, subcontractor assessments, budget monitoring and cash flow forecasting to ensure efficient project execution and commercial alignment.

Qualifications

• QS qualification with 2–3 years’ experience in QS within built environment
• Exposure to site-based construction environments
• Strong numerical, reporting and cost analysis skills
• Deadline-driven with attention to detail
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Compile payment certificates and monthly valuations
• Monitor budgets, cost reports and cash flow forecasts
• Conduct subcontractor evaluations and cost comparisons
• Support project cost control, reporting and site administration
• Ensure QS deliverables and project deadlines are consistently achieved

Minimum Requirements

• QS Qualification
• Valid Driver’s License
• 2–3 years’ Quantity Surveying experience within the built environment and construction project delivery environments
• Exposure to site-based construction environments
• Strong numerical, reporting and cost analysis capability
• Deadline driven with strong attention to detail
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Strong organisational, problem-solving and time management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
