Job summary

The-Recruiter is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor in Cape Town to join a dynamic construction team on residential and commercial projects. You will contribute from pre-construction through to completion.

Responsibilities include cost management, budgeting, measurement of quantities, valuations and progress claims, subcontractor management, variations and final accounts, with strong attention to cost control and contractual knowledge.

Qualifications

• Must have BSc/BTech/Diploma in Quantity Surveying and SACQSP registration is advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years Quantity Surveying experience on residential and commercial projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial management.
• Excellent measurement and cost-control skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient computer and Excel skills.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial management
• Excellent measurement and cost-control skills
• Experience with CCS Candy and/or BuildSmart advantageous
• Strong computer and Excel skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
• Valid drivers licence
