Job summary

Helderberg Personnel CC in Stellenbosch seeks a mechanical design engineer to design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for satellite communication systems, creating detailed CAD models and manufacturing drawings.

You will perform structural (FEA) and thermal analyses, support environmental testing, analyse test data, and collaborate with manufacturing and suppliers to improve producibility and cost. Knowledge of DFMA and high-quality reporting is essential.

Qualifications

• BEng / BSc Eng / MEng / MSc in Mechanical, Mechatronic or Aerospace Engineering.
• 2+ years of relevant mechanical design experience.
• Proven experience in mechanical CAD modelling and engineering drawings.
• Strong background in structural (FEA) and/or thermal analysis, including experience with tools.
• MS Office suite.

Responsibilities
