Job summary

You will perform structural (FEA) and thermal analyses, support environmental testing, analyse test data, and collaborate with manufacturing and suppliers to improve producibility and cost. Knowledge of DFMA and high-quality reporting is essential.

Qualifications

• BEng / BSc Eng / MEng / MSc in Mechanical, Mechatronic or Aerospace Engineering.
• 2+ years of relevant mechanical design experience.
• Proven experience in mechanical CAD modelling and engineering drawings.
• Strong background in structural (FEA) and/or thermal analysis, including experience with tools.
• MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for satellite communication systems.
• Create detailed 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings.
• Perform structural (FEA), thermal, and vibration analysis for harsh environments (rocket launch and space).
• Support environmental qualification testing (vibration, thermal vacuum cycling, etc.).
• Analyse test data and produce detailed engineering reports.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams and suppliers to optimise producibility and cost.
• Contribute to design reviews and engineering best practices.
• Provide technical support to cross-functional teams (e.g. design and development, sales and marketing).
• Support efforts to improve mechanical product quality standards, including working with suppliers to address quality issues.
