Placements24 in Stellenbosch is seeking a motivated Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our HVAC systems group. You will contribute to the design, analysis, and implementation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning projects under guidance from senior engineers.

This role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career engineers eager to learn, grow, and develop practical skills in HVAC design, CAD drafting, and project documentation within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 0-3 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with exposure to HVAC systems being an advantage.
• Basic proficiency with CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping, and equipment selection.
• Perform basic engineering calculations for airflow, heat load, and system performance.
• Utilize CAD software to create and modify drawings and schematics for HVAC installations.
• Support senior engineers in site visits for inspections, data collection, and troubleshooting.
• Prepare reports, documentation, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for HVAC projects.
• Learn and apply industry standards and best practices in HVAC design and engineering.
