Job summary

Placements24 in Centurion is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join the HVAC design team. You will work with senior engineers on design, installation, and maintenance of HVAC systems for commercial and residential properties.

You will gain hands-on experience through site inspections, data collection, and basic calculations, with mentoring to develop core engineering skills in a supportive, learning-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Basic understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and heat transfer.
• Familiarity with HVAC concepts and components is advantageous.
• Basic CAD drafting skills using AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in designing HVAC systems and layouts.
• Conduct site visits to collect data and support installation activities.
• Perform basic calculations for airflow and heating/cooling loads.
• Prepare technical drawings and documentation under supervision.
• Support commissioning and troubleshooting of HVAC systems.
