Job summary

Rest Easy in Cape Town is seeking a Junior Operations Assistant to support day-to-day operations across our hospitality properties. You will work closely with the Operations Manager and Senior Property Manager to ensure smooth service delivery for guests and owners.

Ideal candidates are organized, tech-savvy and eager to learn. A Matric/Grade 12 and a hospitality mindset help, with Slack familiarity and an interest in self-catering or Airbnb operations.

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12 is required
• Hospitality-related qualification is a plus
• Previous experience in property management or hospitality is advantageous
• Must reside within 15km of the Atlantic Seaboard or Cape Town CBD
• Strong interest in self-catering apartments or Airbnb operations
• Excellent organisational and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Track and assign daily maintenance tasks
• Schedule shifts for housekeepers and coordinate daily operations
• Coordinate daily operational activities across departments
• Follow up on work orders to ensure timely completion
• Assist Office Manager and Property Manager with admin duties
• Act as a communication bridge between internal teams, vendors and guests/owners
• Manage platforms (Airbnb, Boom, Hostaway) and reservations
• Maintain vendor relationships and request quotes
