Job summary

rag-talent seeks an Operations Assistant for its growing short-term rental portfolio across the Western Cape. You will handle guest inquiries, check-ins/check-outs, housekeeping coordination, and daily property maintenance support across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable front-line experience in hospitality, guest management, or hotel/property operations.
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations with composure and professional judgment.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest enquiries, calls, and urgent after-hours messages, resolving or escalating issues efficiently.
• Conduct property check-in and check-out inspections across the portfolio, including hosting manual check-ins where self-check-in is unavailable.
• Support daily housekeeping workflows, manage stock levels of consumables, reorder supplies, and transport linens between sites.
• Oversee minor property maintenance, perform basic troubleshooting, and coordinate with external contractors for larger repairs.
• Update booking records, inspection reports, and maintenance logs in the property management system.
• Participate in daily morning planning meetings and assist with scheduling housekeeping teams.
• Serve as a reliable secondary point of contact for operational decisions in the founder's absence.
