Job summary

Herotel Telecoms (Pty) Ltd in Jeffreys Bay is seeking a hands-on Junior Field Technician to perform standard Fibre and Wireless installations, repairs and callouts. You will follow safety standards, prepare for daily jobs, and work with the installation team to ensure quality service across our networks.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting fibre and RF/Wireless issues, configuring CPE, managing stock, and maintaining accurate job cards.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 qualification is required.
• Minimum 1 year fibre optic splicing experience.
• Minimum 1 year RF/Wireless experience.
• Valid driver’s licence with clean driving record.
• Basic networking knowledge and computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard Fibre and Wireless installations including CPE setup and cable runs.
• Troubleshoot fibre and wireless networks and resolve basic issues.
• Follow SOPs and safety procedures and maintain project documentation.
• Prepare for daily jobs by checking stock and ensuring equipment readiness.
• Complete accurate job cards and communicate with team leads on RF signals and fibre allocations.
