Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Strong academic record with focus on power systems or electronics.
• Genuine interest in renewable energy technologies (solar, battery storage).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with basic electrical design principles and standards (SANS, IEC).
• Ability to use CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel occasionally within Pretoria and surrounding areas for site visits.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the electrical design of solar PV and battery storage systems.
• Prepare electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and site layouts under supervision.
• Perform basic electrical calculations, including load assessments and cable sizing.
• Support the procurement process by creating lists of materials and equipment.
• Participate in site visits for inspections, installation support, and commissioning assistance.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues during project execution.
• Conduct research on new technologies and components relevant to renewable energy systems.
• Ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
