Placements24 is seeking a Junior Electrical Engineer to join their Pretoria automation division. This entry-level role focuses on designing, implementing, and supporting automated electrical control systems for industrial applications.

You will work with senior engineers, gain hands-on experience with PLCs, HMIs, and electrical schematics, and contribute to documentation and maintenance guides while developing foundational skills in electrical and automation engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Electronic Engineering is required.
• Strong understanding of electrical principles, control systems, and automation concepts.
• Familiarity with PLC programming platforms (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell) is an advantage.
• Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and P&IDs.
• Basic knowledge of industrial networking protocols.

Responsabilités

• Assist in the design and development of electrical control panels and systems for automation projects.
• Support the programming, testing, and commissioning of PLCs and HMIs.
• Perform wiring, installation, and troubleshooting of electrical components and systems on the shop floor.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers and software developers to integrate electrical and automation solutions.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
• Contribute to the documentation of system designs, procedures, and maintenance guides.
