Placements24 is seeking a Junior Electrical Engineer in Centurion to design, implement, and maintain automated systems for manufacturing processes. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience working with PLC/SCADA, under the guidance of senior engineers.

You will collaborate with mechanical teams, read schematics, and help document configurations and maintenance plans while based on-site at client locations in Gauteng.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 0–3 years in industrial automation or control systems.
• Familiarity with PLC programming software (Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000).
• Willingness to work on-site in Centurion.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and development of PLC and SCADA systems.
• Wiring, testing, and commissioning of control panels and automated machinery.
• Troubleshoot electrical and control system issues on the factory floor.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and manuals.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers and production staff to ensure system functionality.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and maintenance schedules.
