Job summary

Wild Dreams Hospitality invites applications for a Junior Duty Manager at Riverbend Lodge in Addo, Eastern Cape. This live-in role offers exposure to all lodge operations, guest services and front-of-house duties, with room to grow in a luxury Big Five setting.

You will support management, supervise staff, coordinate between departments and ensure high standards of guest experience while maintaining efficient daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily lodge operations and guest services.
• Welcome guests and manage front-of-house duties.

• Support housekeeping and conduct room checks.
• Coordinate between departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist with functions and guest arrangements.
• Maintain high standards of guest service throughout the property.

A stunning luxury safari lodge in the heart of the Addo region is seeking an ambitious and well-presented Junior Duty Manager to join the Riverbend Lodge team and grow their career in an unforgettable Big Five setting.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and hands-on hospitality professional looking to grow their lodge management experience. The Junior Duty Manager will support the management team with the day-to-day running of the lodge, ensuring smooth operations and consistently high standards of guest service.
This role would suit a confident, well-presented and adaptable individual who enjoys being involved across departments, interacting with guests and taking responsibility when required.

Core Criteria:

• Previous lodge, hotel or hospitality experience
• Drivers licence and own transport preferred
• Exposure to front-of-house and general lodge operations
• Strong guest relations and communication skills
• Well-spoken, professional and presentable
• Good organisational and administrative ability
• Ability to supervise and motivate staff
• Basic stock control experience
• Understanding of housekeeping standards and procedures
• Food and beverage experience advantageous
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Flexible and willing to assist across departments when required

Candidate Responsibilities:

• Assist management with the daily running of lodge operations
• Welcome guests and ensure a professional and personalised guest experience
• Assist with check-ins, check-outs and general front-of-house duties
• Handle guest queries and requests efficiently
• Supervise staff and ensure daily duties are completed to standard
• Support housekeeping and conduct room and lodge checks
• Assist with stock control, stock takes and ordering
• Coordinate between departments to ensure smooth daily operations
• Assist with functions, special occasions and guest arrangements
• Maintain high operational and guest service standards throughout the property
