Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• Qualification or certificate in Drafting, Design, Engineering Drawing, Interior Design, Architectural Technology or related field.
• 0–2 years drafting experience.
• AutoCAD experience is essential.
• Exposure to aluminium, woodworking, cabinetry, furniture, shopfitting or manufacturing industry is advantageous.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Good mathematical and measurement skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Willingness to learn and develop within a technical environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and update technical drawings using AutoCAD or relevant drafting software.
• Assist with detailed drawings, layouts, measurements and cutting lists.
• Interpret architectural plans, sketches and design specifications.
• Make revisions to drawings based on project requirements.
• Liaise with designers, production teams and project managers to ensure drawings are accurate and practical.
• Assist with site measurements and ensure dimensions are correctly reflected in drawings.
• Maintain organised records of drawings, revisions and technical documentation.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications and manufacturing requirements.
