Job summary

PRR Recruitment Services is seeking a Junior Draughtsman for an entry-level opportunity based in Germiston, Gauteng. The role involves creating and modifying CAD drawings, assisting with welding and bill of materials updates, and supporting site visits.

The ideal candidate should have a Matric qualification, experience in SolidWorks, and a technical drawing background. This position offers support in a team environment, exposure to the full project lifecycle, and opportunities to grow technical skills.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years’ experience in SolidWorks and 3D modelling.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of steel types, machining tolerances, and materials.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify 2D/3D CAD drawings for parts and assemblies.
• Assist with design detailing, welding/chamfering, and bill of materials updates.
• Support site visits, measurements, and drawing inspections.
• Liaise with workshop, suppliers, and customers on project requirements.
