Job summary

Wellington-based manufacturing company seeks a Junior Draughtsman to join its design team. You will prepare and update technical drawings using CAD software and produce detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings to support production.

Ideal candidates hold a relevant Draughting qualification or CAD certification, with proficiency in AutoCAD; SolidWorks is advantageous. Strong attention to detail, good communication, and teamwork are essential in this hands-on role.

Qualifications

• Relevant Draughting qualification or CAD certification.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (SolidWorks experience will be advantageous).
• Good understanding of technical drawings and manufacturing processes.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
• Valid driver’s licence will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and update technical drawings using CAD software.
• Produce detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings.
• Assist with the design and development of custom products.
• Liaise with production to ensure drawings are accurate and practical.
• Revise drawings based on design or production requirements.
