Job summary

ShopriteX is seeking an Associate Data Analyst to leverage rich customer and transactional data to provide actionable trends and insights for sound commercial decisions. You will work in an agile IDM Tribe, framing business questions, preparing data, and delivering dashboards and reports for stakeholders.

You will build analytical solutions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and grow into advanced analytics with hands-on exposure to SQL, Python/PySpark, and cloud-based platforms like

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Operations Research, Statistics, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems or a related field – essential.
• +1 years' experience in a data team as Associate Data Analyst or similar role with analytics product exposure.
• Strong proficiency in MS Word with well-developed Excel skills – essential.
• Exposure to dashboards/reports using Tableau or Power BI.
• Foundational knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Foundational knowledge of AWS cloud computing-based solutions (Python / PySpark).
• Foundational knowledge of cloud-based data and AI platforms (e.g., Snowflake).
• Exposure to an agile environment.
• Exposure to retailer-specific data (brand, customer, shopper, category, sales, promotions, pricing, channel, POS, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Understand and frame analysis requirements with business stakeholders and propose data-led solutions.
• Prepare data sets and apply analytical techniques to produce insights.
• Write business requirements to transform data into reports and visuals.
• Design, code, test, document and support applications per business specs.
• Build and publish dashboards/reports to enable meaningful insights for business decisions.
• Support data-related queries from stakeholders and resolve data issues.
• Validate data sources and maintain data quality and integrity.
• Maintain documentation and training materials with consistent terminology.
• Share insights across teams to drive collaboration and action.
• Stay updated on analytics developments to apply latest methods.
