Job summary

University of Fort Hare in Durban is seeking a Junior Conveyancer based in KZN to join a leading law firm on a 24-month contract. You will manage property transactions, including registrations of bonds and transfers, with exposure to commercial and deceased estates.

The role requires at least 3 years' conveyancing experience and strong knowledge of conveyancing procedures and property law; ability to draft contracts, transfer deeds and mortgage documents, and handle post-completion formalities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ conveyancing experience
• Experience managing Transfers, Mortgage Bonds and Cancellations
• Experience with commercial and deceased estates
• Strong knowledge of conveyancing procedures and property law
• Experience with notarial deeds, subdivisions, consolidations and sectional title schemes
• Ability to draft and review contracts, transfer deeds and mortgage documents
• Experience preparing completion statements and handling post-completion formalities
• Strong understanding of FICA and compliance requirements
• Excellent communication and administrative skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple matters
