Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Junior Legal Advisor to join the compliance team in Rustenburg, North West. You will assist in developing and implementing compliance programs and support the Senior Legal Counsel on regulatory matters.

The role targets graduates or early-career lawyers with interest in corporate compliance and a solid understanding of SA regulatory frameworks. Relocation readiness to Rustenburg is preferred.

Qualifications

• LLB or admission eligibility required.
• Foundational knowledge of South African corporate/commercial law.
• Strong research, analytical and communication skills.
• Based in Rustenburg or willing to relocate to Rustenburg.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and monitoring compliance policies and procedures.
• Conduct regulatory research relevant to the retail sector.
• Support Senior Legal Counsel on compliance tasks and reporting.
• Prepare compliance reports and maintain documentation.
• Monitor regulatory changes and assess impact on the business.
