Placements24 in Welkom is seeking a motivated Junior Buyer to join our procurement team. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in sourcing suppliers, processing purchase orders, and maintaining vendor records while you learn under a supportive senior team.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, basic procurement interest, strong numerical ability, and proficiency in Excel and MS Office. You will collaborate with colleagues to support purchasing activities and help keep stock

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; business qualification is a plus.
Good numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Assist in sourcing suppliers and obtaining quotations.
Process purchase requisitions and prepare purchase orders under supervision.
Maintain accurate records of all purchasing activities.
Support senior buyers with data collection and analysis for procurement decisions.
Communicate with suppliers to confirm orders and delivery schedules.
Help manage inventory levels and assist with stocktakes.
