Placements24 in Paarl is seeking a motivated Junior Buyer to join our growing procurement team. You will support senior buyers in sourcing materials, processing orders, and managing supplier communications, helping ensure seamless flow of goods.

This role is ideal for someone early in their procurement career who is eager to learn, highly organized, and ready to develop skills in supplier negotiation and bid analysis within a supportive, progressive company culture.

Qualifications

• Proven administrative/assistant experience with some exposure to purchasing or procurement.
• Strong organizational skills with high data entry accuracy and record-keeping.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, for data management.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior buyers with sourcing activities and supplier research.
• Process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and delivery information.
• Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, inquiries, and potential issues.
• Support the team in bid analysis and vendor selection processes.
• Help manage inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse staff.
