Purpose: To support and assist in the development and execution of KWV’s BIB portfolio across local and international markets. The role will also support the Marketing Manager: Core Growth in the day-to-day execution of KWV Classic and broader portfolio priorities.
- A degree / diploma in marketing or relevant discipline
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in a marketing environment and preferably at brand management level (FMCG)
- Alcoholic beverage industry experience will be advantageous
- Wine category experience/or interest in wine and willingness to build category knowledge
- Valid driver’s license and own vehicle
- Ability and willingness to travel locally as required (mandatory)

- Understanding of brand management principles and the ability to support the execution of brand plans and activities.
- Proactive and self-starting, with the ability to take responsibility for assigned projects and follow through to delivery.
- Commercially minded, with an understanding of budgets, pricing and brand financials.
- Strong planning, organisation and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Creative mindset and ability to contribute to brand, packaging and product development.
- Ability to work effectively across functions, international teams and external stakeholders.
- Some knowledge of social and digital media platforms, content performance metrics and best practices.
- Multi-tasking is a pre-requisite
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Job Summary:
- Assist the Marketing Manager: Core Growth with the execution of the KWV Classic brand plan and agreed marketing priorities.
- Help deliver KWV Classic consumer campaigns, activations, digital and social activity, events and brand tools.
- Contribute to the delivery of the agreed trade calendar, working with Sales and Customer Marketing to ensure activities and brand tools are delivered on time.
- Assist with the management and development of KWV’s BIB portfolio across local and international markets.
- Work with international teams and distributors to provide relevant brand, packaging and marketing tools and materials.
- Monitor brand, category and competitor performance, identifying key opportunities and issues for discussion with the Marketing Manager.
- Coordinate innovation, renovation and packaging projects across relevant teams, under the direction of the Marketing Manager.
- Assist with A&P budget management and the monitoring of pricing, margin, inventory and COGS across the assigned portfolio.
- Contribute to the development of tender propositions where relevant, including liquid, brand, packaging and marketing requirements.
- Coordinate with International, Sales, Customer Marketing, Winemaking, Finance, Supply Chain and agency partners to deliver agreed projects and activities.
- Provide day-to-day marketing and project assistance across KWV Classic and the BIB portfolio as required.
