Placements24 is seeking a Junior Automotive Mechanical Engineer to join their growing engineering team in Upington. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in the design, development and testing of automotive components and systems, working closely with senior engineers to learn best practices in mechanical design and automotive engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related automotive field.
• Foundational knowledge of automotive systems, mechanics and materials.
• Familiarity with CAD software and engineering analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist design and development of automotive mechanical components and sub-assemblies.
• Perform engineering analysis, simulations and calculations using CAD/CAE.
• Create technical drawings, specifications and documentation.
• Participate in prototype building, testing and validation activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve engineering issues during development.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and R&D on project tasks.
