Job summary

Network Finance in Randburg, South Africa, seeks a junior Automation Engineer to map processes across departments and identify AI-driven improvements. You will build automation workflows on the internal AI platform, collaborating with IT, Sales, HR, Finance and Production.

You will develop with Python, explore AI/LLM APIs, and implement ERP/CRM integrations. A Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field and 0–2 years of experience are required; training is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a computer science or related field.
• 0–2 years’ experience in software development, automation, data engineering or related discipline (academic, internship or project work considered).
• Proficiency in Python and at least one AI/LLM framework or API.
• Working knowledge of version control, relational databases and web APIs.

Responsibilities

• Observe, document and map business processes with departments.
• Identify AI/automation opportunities to reduce manual effort, cycle time or errors.
• Build, test and deploy automation agents and workflows on the internal AI platform.
• Maintain platform components and integrate with ERP/CRM/ticketing systems.
• Monitor usage, cost and performance; escalate incidents as needed.
• Prepare evaluation and regression test sets for deployed automations.
• Ensure data classification, access control, privacy and audit compliance.
